Booking Information
1. Discovery Call
This isn't a sales call, rather a 20-minute conversation of how I (Sam) can best support you/your child's singing journey. That way, subsequent lessons are easy to anticipate rather than guessing what they'll be like.
What Lessons Look Like:
Lessons run on weekday afternoons and Saturdays.
I'd also like you to know that at Radiant Voice Academy (RVA), we are neuro-affirming, which means
I design lessons with autistic/ADHD students in mind.
This looks like:
-
Clear instructions
-
Predictable lesson structure
-
Reduced sensory input
-
Breaks when needed
It's also why I offer lessons in-person and online.
IN-PERSON:
I host lessons from our Craigieburn studio, located in Melbourne's northern suburbs.
It's easiest to get to from Roxburgh Park, Greenvale, Mickleham, Wollert, Donnybrook and Kalkallo.
ONLINE:
Zoom video calls are available from anywhere in Australia.
Our time zone is AEST.
To get the most out of your online lesson, follow the checklists below.

Every student's first singing lesson is $45 for 45 minutes.
Yes, it's a proper lesson.
I'll also establish what you want to work on for your voice/singing/performances, what hasn't worked before and any nerves/anxiety that comes up.
Next is a gentle vocal assessment:
After the lesson, you'll be able to take away what's actually happening to your voice and one thing to practice.
WHAT IT'S NOT:
☒ An audition
☒ Performance
☒ Graded
WHAT IT IS:
-
Measures vocal range
-
Breath
-
Where vocal tension is held
3. One Singing Lesson
After your first lesson (for $45), individual lessons will cost $70 for 45 minutes.
I also offer lesson packs for multiple lessons to lower the individual lesson cost.

Questions You May Have
How can I sing if I'm tone deaf?
Most "tone-deafness" is an untrained pitch and untrained singing. Since I train both, we can work through them together.
Do I need experience with singing/music?
No, any/no experience at all is welcome here.
What singing styles are you trained in?
While I can teach any, I specialise in contemporary styles:
Pop, rock, metal, jazz, R&B and musical theatre.
Who do you usually teach?
Beginners to performers/vocalists of all ages (children and adults).
What age does my child need to be before they start singing?
It depends on the context. We can discuss whether now is the best time for your child.
How often do I need lessons?
I recommend weekly lessons where possible and fortnightly lessons to balance other commitments.
What if my lesson takes longer than 45 minutes?
That's okay! Sometimes they take a few more minutes to wrap up, but I keep it under an hour.
Can I use NDIS funding to cover lessons?
If the participant is self-managed or plan-managed, they can. At present, RVA is not a registered NDIS provider. If you have a plan manager, please consult with them first.
